About the performers
As a young, self-orchestrated jazz duo from mid-coast Maine, Nina Emery (18) and Ellis Sanchez (17) are eager to share their love for traditional vocal & guitar duo with a modern approach.
Ellis Sánchez is a young Maine musician and emerging jazz performer who has quickly earned recognition on the regional stage. A recipient of top honors at the Maine State Jazz Festival, including the Gold Medal for Performance and the Dale F. Huff Outstanding Musician Award, he is also a Bagaduce Music “Bright Spark” Flamekeeper awardee. Accepted to the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy, Ellis is building on a strong foundation in school jazz ensembles and community music programs, performing alongside leading young musicians in Maine’s next generation of talent.
