The Tough End String Band is an acoustic ensemble from Orono, Maine, inspired by the rich musical heritage of the historic Tough End neighborhood, where music has brought people together for generations.
Blending traditional fiddle tunes, jazz, bluegrass, classical, film music, and contemporary favorites, the band creates engaging performances that celebrate both musical tradition and creative genre-crossing.
The band features Anthony Viselli on fiddle and mandolin, Sam Furth on guitar, and Susan Elias on upright bass. They perform regularly at festivals, concerts, contra dances, community events, and private functions."
