About the performers
An acclaimed American roots musician from the Pacific Northwest, West is known for his intricate, atmospheric approach to traditional forms. A multi-instrumentalist with a designer’s sensibility, he creates music that balances structure and wildness, blending old-time, bluegrass, and country influences into a deeply personal sound. His collaborations include work with Cahalen Morrison, Bill Frisell, Andrew Marlin, John Reischman, and Julie Fowlis.
